Airbnb

Airbnb Magazine is an online publication highlighting Airbnb's hosts and their unique homes across the world. I was brought in to create a series of hand drawn elements, including type treatments, spot illustrations, and photo collages, for a series of over 20 editorial features. The series was named, "Meet the Locals" and published on Medium.

This series consisted of so many incredible stories, cultures, and photographs (truly no shortage of inspiration), but the directive was to keep the layout and flourishes simple. The illustrations, photo collages, and type treatments were created in Photoshop and intentionally woven throughout each article to incorporate a gentle human handedness.
